Gunnar Nelson will face Albert Tumenov in UFC’s first visit to Holland. The fight is scheduled to take place on the 8th of May.
Icelandic media outlet Vísir broke the news this morning.
Gunnar Nelson (14-2-1) will be looking to bounce back after a lopsided decision loss to Demian Maia in December. Nelson had previously submitted Brandon Thatch impressively in the first round in July.
Albert Tumenov (17-2), touted as the next big thing in the welterweight division, is riding a five fight win streak which includes three knockouts. The UFC’s No. 15 ranked welterweight is coming off a split decision win over Lorenz Larkin last January.
Nelson now looks to regain momentum against Tumenov after a record of 1-2 in his last three fights. Nelson has finished 10 of his 14 wins by submission while Tumenov has 11 knockouts in 17 wins.
