Gunnar Nelson hopes to make his return to the Octagon in May when UFC visits Holland according to Vísir. The fight card will take place on the 8th of May in Rotterdam.
This will be UFC’s first visit to Holland. The fight card is scheduled to take place at the Ahoy Rotterdam on a Sunday night.
Gunnar hopes to fight at least three times this year but will have to wait a few months for his first fight of the year. Gunnar has expressed interest in fighting in Holland but nothing has been confirmed on behalf of UFC.
On Wednesday morning Gunnar flew out to Dublin to assist Conor McGregor preparing for his title fight against Rafael dos Anjos. Gunnar and Conor have been training partners for years at SBG Dublin and in Mjölnir. Gunnar will not accommodate Conor to the states and will head back to Iceland once the camp is over.
