Í gær fór fram símafundur með blaðamönnum og helstu stjörnunum á UFC 223. Þeir Khabib Nurmagomedov og Tony Ferguson hraunuðu yfir hvorn annan með alls konar móðgunum sem voru ansi athyglisverðar.
UFC 223 fer fram þann 7. apríl í Brooklyn. Í aðalbardaga kvöldsins mætast þeir Khabib Nurmagomedov og Tony Ferguson um léttvigtartitilinn. Þetta er í fjórða sinn sem þeir eiga að mætast en alltaf hafa þeir annað hvort meiðst eða ekki mætt í vigtun. Þeir, ásamt Rose Namajunas og Joanna Jedrzejczyk, voru á símafundi með blaðamönnum í gær. Þær Namajunas og Joanna fengu ekki margar spurningar þar sem stærsti hluti tímans fór í rifrildi á milli Ferguson og Khabib. Í rauninni var ekki mikill tími fyrir spurningar þar sem þeir Khabib og Ferguson gáfu hvor öðrum engan tíma til að svara spurningunum og kepptust um að móðga hvorn annan á meðan hinn svaraði.
MMA Nytt og MMA Junkie tóku saman athyglisverðustu ummæli beggja í gær. Við skulum leyfa þeim að halda sér á enskunni enda myndi þýðing eiginlega skemma ummælin.

20. Khabib: “How you going to break me? I’m unbreakable. You lose three times. Somebody broke you three times. What are you talking about? I am unbreakable.”
21. Khabib: “I no need finishes. Why I need finishes? Why? I’m fine when I go cage, like, relax, take my time, talk with Dana about future, how we gonna smash your face. It’s okay, we already have plan with Dana. That’s why he talk about Khabib time all the time and you’re jealous. You’re jealous.“
22. Khabib: “I hope we’re going to fight. Finally, we’re going to fight, because this is the most important fight in the lightweight division right now.”
Tony Ferguson: “You talking about the f-kup, kid. You had your chance to fight for the belt, and you missed it. I’m giving you one chance to quit, to walk away and f-king retire.”
Khabib: “To be honest, I didn’t understand your English. You talk like stupid guy. Can I finish this, and then you can talk your stupid sh-t?
23. Khabib: “I have one question: Why you didn’t show up in 2016?“
Tony Ferguson: “Why? Because I was taking some hard kicks from a professional soccer player to the chops. That’s what I was doing, with no pads. What’s your excuse? Your teammates break you?“
Khabib: “You funny guy, Tony. You funny. You stupid funny. Nobody understands you.“
25. Khabib: “Be real, bro. Calm down and be real. Relax, we’re just talking on the phone.“
Tony Ferguson: “Ain’t no phone. Ain’t no phone. Any time I get a chance, oh, you just wait. I’m going to break your spirit. I’m going to take your soul.“
