Earlier today, Irish superstar Conor McGregor told the world today that he had retired from MMA. Little is known about the truth of the announcement but it does not seem to be a joke.
Conor McGregor is currently training here in Iceland for a week at Mjölnir MMA. When asked for an interview Conor declined: “No, I’m retired, fuck interviews,” Conor said to us earlier today.
Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com proclaimed that this is not an hoax or a joke:

John Kavanagh, Conor’s head coach, seemed to confirm the news.

The news come as a shock to the MMA world. Conor was scheduled to fight Nate Diaz at UFC 200 in the main event. It is currently unclear what the main event will be if Conor is truly retired.
